Summer Street Power Wash Program

The Summer Street Power Wash Program will provide power washing services through the Downtown Flushing area to keep the sidewalks clean and free of odor. The power wash program will use heavy-duty power washing on the identified "power wash in need" hotspots. Council Member Peter Koo stated, "As a transportation hub and world-renown restaurant and shopping destination, downtown Flushing gets it's fair share of litter and spillage from trash bags. The annual street festival is a great opportunity for local businesses to promote themselves and to be able to get good exposure. Not only is this event for the vendors, but families from the neighborhood and outside the community are welcome to take part in the event. Families have the chance to enjoy a variety of foods and all kinds of entertainment throughout the festival. Registrations are open for businesses that are interested in a booth for the upcoming Flushing BID Street Festival and it is first come first serve.
